This study allowed to evaluate the degradation of phenolic compounds, such as salicylic acid and phenol, using catalytic oxidation by hydrotalcite-type Mg+2/Al+3 catalysts, modified with Mn+2. The hydrotalcites were obtained by coprecipitation method, obtaining an approximate yield of 72% in the synthesis process. Subsequently, the solids obtained were characterized by the X-ray diffraction (XRD) technique and sortometry, which confirmed the structure of hydrotalcite-type solids and characteristics of mesoporous materials respectively. Finally, several tests were carried out for the oxidation process, where it was evidenced that the use of modified hydrotalcites with Mn+2 using ozone as an oxidizing agent, degraded phenolic compounds at the laboratory level and in residual waters with removal percentages higher than 98% in both casesIncluye bibliografíaPregradoQuímico(a)application/pdfspaBogotá : Universidad de Ciencias Aplicadas y Ambientales, 2019Facultad de CienciasQuímicaDerechos Reservados - Universidad de Ciencias Aplicadas y Ambientaleshttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessAtribución-NoComercial-CompartirIgual 4.0 Internacional (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0)http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2FenolDegradación químicaÁcido salicílicoCatalizadorDegradación de ácido salicílico y fenol empleando catalizadores tipo Hidrotalcita Mg+2/Al+3 modificados con Mn+2Trabajo de grado - Pregradohttp://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_7a1finfo:eu-repo/semantics/bachelorThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionTexthttp://purl.org/redcol/resource_type/TPhttp://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85Aguilera D.
