Las regulaciones en la Comunidad Europea y Norteamérica establecen un límite máximo (10 ppb) de Nitrosodietanolamina. Pueden contaminar cosméticos, debido a materias primas, proceso y almacenamiento si existen agentes nitrosantes (nitritos, óxidos de nitrógeno). En Colombia no se realiza este análisis y se requiere la implementación de técnicas analíticas para determinarlas. El objetivo es estandarizar una técnica analítica económica para determinar nitrosodietanolamina en champú entre 10 – 100 ppb. Se prepararon curvas de calibración en acetato de etilo y matrices sintéticas de Agua: Genapol LRO (72:28) con diferentes concentraciones de nitrosodietanolamina. En las curvas se obtuvieron (r2) entre 0,9858 y 0, 9940, y (r) entre 0,9929 y 0, 9970. Las matrices sintéticas se sometieron a extracción en fase sólida normal, usando como absorbente Florisil y Diclorometano: Isopropanol (90:10) como solvente de elución.Los extractos se evaporaron a sequedad, se diluyeron con acetato de etilo y se inyectaron al cromatógrafo de gases con detector µECD y columna DB-WAX, rampa de temperatura entre 170 a 240°C a una rata de 20°C/min. La recuperación obtenida estuvo entre 83 a 110 %, desviaciones estándar relativa entre 6 a 7% y limite de detección de 3 ppb de Nitrosodietanolamina. La Técnica analítica implementada brinda buenas predicciones entre 10 – 100 ppb. Los costos son económicos para los laboratorios de Control de Calidad si estos preparan los cartuchos.
