Summary:A case addressed Florencia, Caquetá, Colombia of a female about two years old canine patient was found prostrate in the street and sent for emergency veterinary center where examinations by semiotic paraparesis evidenced described. Radiological examinations of latero-lateral and dorsal-ventral view which is evidenced fracture of the vertebra T11 and finally this condition is attributed as the cause of the paraparesis request. Drug therapy with dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) and Meloxicam pretending reverse the inflammatory process in the spinal cord caused by the fracture and thereby recover the functionality of the motor nerve fibers and sensory found that intact always starts. Drug therapy was accompanied with physiotherapy arriving to observe excellent results in a few weeks since the animal achievement regain full mobility in his hindquarters.
