The model not only summarizes some of the main empirical and theoretical contributions that have already been presented in the literature but also expands and articulates other empirical and theoretical elements, from conceptual precision on the central concept of the model, which is the risk but not the concept of perception as such, as they have done other models. Objective: To develop a model of perceived health risk from conceptualizing the concept of risk. Methodology: The method used for conceptual analysis is typical of philosophical inquiry, focusing on logical reasoning and reducing vagueness and semantic ambiguity. The method for the literature review did not correspond to the systematic review, since the goal was not to make a review of the concept but develop a concept, so the search, selection and review of the literature was guided by the conceptual analysis. Results: revision and accuracy of the risk concept completed in four essential conditions: involvement, threat mitigation and partial understan- ding. Each of these conditions was associated with a component as well: Per- sonal meaning, vulnerability, individual aspects and knowledge about risk, respectively. Each of these components has several aspects associated with them. Conclusions: a model of perceived health risk from two factors synthe- sizing conditions, the components and aspects of the model is made: vulnera- bility factor and commitment factor.
