Facultad de Arquitectura y Diseño, Pereira, 2010Los productos decorativos hechos en empresas que se dedican a la cristalería (ejemplo: empresa Vidriera Otún Ltda.), por su gran variabilidad de formas y tamaños no poseen un empaque estandarizado. Este tipo de empresas se interesan por entregar al cliente un producto con buena apariencia, forma, excelentes acabados y buen estado en el momento de llegar a su destino final (o al usuario); sin embargo los empaques utilizados que contienen y protegen en el momento del transporte los objetos no cumplen satisfactoriamente con el interés de la empresa, pues no son los adecuados para contener, proteger, conservar y transportar, el producto hasta su destino. Esto también ocasiona, que con los métodos de empaques utilizados actualmente, los operarios son los encargados de realizar la labor de medir y calcular el material de empaque que se requiere, presentando un alto nivel de desperdicio de material al momento de empacar cada producto. En la búsqueda por proteger el objeto, el propósito fundamental del proyecto es el de proponer un empaque que contenga de una manera adecuada la forma propuesta y escogida para el desarrollo del proyecto, por lo tanto, se aumentan las expectativas que resultado arroje de la experiencia para la motivación a un estudio posterior, del diseño y desarrollo de empaques para este tipo de producto decorativo fabricados en cristal. A veces se presentan diferenciaciones entre productos pedidos para el mismo cliente, lo que lleva a pensar en empaques modulares y universales que contengan y exhiban las piezas según su orden de medidas y formas, cumpliendo con las funciones de proteger el producto durante su manipulación y transporte, hasta llegar al punto de venta y exhibirlo. De allí que el elemento llegue a su cliente final empacado y en perfectas condiciones si alteración alguna. /Abstract: The decorative products done in companies that they dedicate to the glassware (example: company Window Otún Ltda.), for his great variability of forms and sizes they do not possess a standardized packing. This type of companies are interested for delivering a product to the client with good appearance, form, excellent finished and good condition in the moment to come to his final destination (or to the user); nevertheless the used packings that contain and protect in the moment of the transport the objects do not expire satisfactorily with the interest of the company, since they are not adapted to contain, to protect, to preserve and to transport, the product up to his destination. This also causes, that with the methods of packings used nowadays, the operatives are the managers of realizing the labor of measuring and calculating the material of packing that is needed, presenting a high level of waste of material to the moment to pack every product.In the search for protecting the object, the fundamental intention of the project is of proposing a packing that contains in a suitable way the form proposed and chosen for the development of the project, therefore, there increase the expectations that proved it throws of the experience for the motivation to a later study, of the design and development of packings for this type of decorative product made of crystal. Sometimes they present differentiations between products asked for the same client, which it leads to thinking about modular and universal packings that contain and exhibit the pieces according to his order of measures and forms, expiring with the functions to protect the product during his manipulation and transport, up to coming to the point of sale and to exhibit it.
