En primera instancia es importante analizar como a través del tiempo algunas empresas han entendido que es de vital importancia velar por el bienestar tanto físico, mental y emocional de los empleados, esto con el fin de ir en la dirección del cumplimiento de objetivos organizacionales, por otro lado los directivos de otras organizaciones no lo ven como un tema que se debe abordar con tanta trascendencia, tal vez porque se cree que podría ser paternalismo como indica Sue Newell en su libro Creando Organizaciones Saludables. Son las personas las que crean la diferencia entre el éxito y el fracaso, el éxito por lo menos a largo plazo solo es posible si las personas tienen la oportunidad de desarrollar todo su potencial y contribuir así a la organización de modo óptimo (Sue Newell 2002) cuando se habla de potencial es que puedan poner todos sus conocimientos al servicio de la empresa, pero dentro de un ambiente saludable tanto a nivel individual como grupal. Abstract: When carrying out this work, it is intended to know the levels of work fatigue and burnout in the full-time teachers of the Catholic University of Pereira. In the first instance, it is important to analyze how over time some companies have understood that it is vitally important to ensure the physical, mental and emotional well-being of employees, this in order to go in the direction of meeting organizational objectives, for On the other hand, the directors of other organizations do not see it as an issue that should be addressed with such transcendence, perhaps because it is believed that it could be paternalism as Sue Newell indicates in her book Creating Healthy Organizations.
