Facultad de Arquitectura y Diseño, Pereira, 2019El presente documento expone inicialmente un acercamiento al Área Metropolitana de Centro Occidente a partir de una mirada transdisciplinar (arquitectónica, antropológica) que busca analizar y comprender los múltiples factores que han determinado como las poblaciones han habitado y transformado este, mediante la mirada de las múltiples categorías tales como culturales, económicas, sociales y desde la cual se centrara la atención el enfoque ambiental más específicamente el recurso hídrico. Este último como punto determinante en la vivencia e interdependencia de las poblaciones con los territorios. Determinando así dos focos espaciales principales ; el corregimiento de la Florida como un territorio donde se da inicio al sistema ambiental regional gracias a su ubicación contigua al Parque Nacional de los Nevados y el municipio de la Virginia (Risaralda), donde se centrara el desarrollo a profundidad del proyecto a plantear debido a la presencia de dos ríos de gran importancia en este territorio como lo son el rio Risaralda y el rio Cauca , de los cuales se tiene una fuerte interdependencia social y a su vez como base los múltiples registros de inundaciones y alteraciones en estos , que han marcado , alterado y determinado la historia de los habitantes. Lo anterior con la intención de fomentar una conciencia, cultura y educación ambiental que permita una adecuada ocupación y equilibrio entre las practicas por parte de la población y las determinantes ambientales presentes mediante lineamientos urbano arquitectónicos como lo son el planteamiento de equipamiento colectivo y la propuesta urbana que permita la re ubicación de viviendas en un suelo apto para ello. ABSTRACT: The current document initially presents an approach to the AMCO from an anthropological perspective that seeks to analyze and understand the multiple factors that have determined how the populations have inhabited and transformed this, through the view of the multiple cultural, economic, social and from the which focus attention the environmental focus more specifically the water resource. The latter as a determining point in the experience and interdependence of the populations with the territories. Thus determining two main focuses; the corregimiento of the Florida as a territory where the regional environmental system begins thanks to its location adjacent to the Nevados National Park and the Municipality of la Virginia, Risaralda where the in-depth development of the project to be raised due to the presence of two bodies of water of great importance in this territory, such as the Risaralda River and the Cauca River, of which there is a strong social interdependence and at the same time as a base the multiple records of floods and alterations in these, which have marked, altered and determined the history of the inhabitants.
