Pereira, 2012El crecimiento económico, la pobreza y distribución es uno de los temas más relevantes en la teoría económica y una de las preocupaciones de grandes autores e instituciones en el mundo en el país, así mismo en la región, en tal sentido, se hace una breve revisión de las principales propuestas teóricas sobre el tema y de algunas de las teorías mas sobresalientes que se han utilizado en varios de los estudios realizados. Se hace un análisis descriptivo de las variables utilizadas durante el periodo 2002 a 2010 tomando como datos la información suministrada por el CIR, DANE y la Cámara de comercio de Pereira. Por ultimo se hace un análisis de correlación sobre las variables y se concluye que a pesar de que existe un alto grado de correlación entre e crecimiento, las mejoras distributivas y la reducción de la pobreza.Abstract: Economic growth, poverty and distribution is one of the most important issues in economic theory and one of the major concerns of authors and institutions in the world in the country, also in the region, in this sense, is a brief review of the main theories on the subject and some of the most prominent theories that have been used in several studies. It is a descriptive analysis of the variables used in the period 2002 to 2010, taking as data the information provided by the CIR, DANE and the Chamber of Commerce of Pereira.
