The methodology was carried out with a quasi-experimental design, and a pre-post with an experimental control group (no equivalent). The instruments used were Scales for Interactive Assessment of the Teaching-Learning Process (EIPEA) and an observation instrument of their academic practices. The results presented here are part of the pre-test and the observation in both groups, at which it was found that professors and students conceive the teaching and learning process independently, directed by the disciplinary content; conception that is reflected in the classroom practices.Se socializan los resultados de la investigación sobre las concepciones y prácticas de profesores y estudiantes de segundo semestre de las diferentes facultades de la UCPR respecto a los procesos de enseñar y aprender. La metodología se llevó a cabo con un diseño cuasi-experimental, pre-post con grupo experimental y control (no equivalente); los instrumentos utilizados fueron Escalas para la Evaluación Interactiva del Proceso de Enseñanza- Aprendizaje (EIPEA) y un instrumento de observación de sus prácticas académicas.
