These codes seek to suppress thoseactions that impair workers' conditions within the corporate environment. Adequate human management enhances companies' innovation, a key elementthat allows them to better compete in local and global markets.This article presents the relationship between strategies and practices in humanmanagement in some companies based in Pereira, and in light of the goodpractices that have been set forth by the International Labor Organization in thisdomain.La Gestión Humana está fuertemente condicionada por factores externos derivados del temor por el retorno a prácticas degradantes, la presión de grupos internacionales y el aumento de la conciencia social de algunos empresarios, lo que ha generado un movimiento de buenas prácticas laborales expresadas en códigos de conducta exigidos por organismos y empresas multinacionales, dirigidos a erradicar las que afectan las capacidades y condiciones del ser humano en el ambiente laboral. La adecuada gestión del talento humano sirve para estimular el clima creativo e innovador en las empresas, clave para alinear estratégicamente las organizaciones y hacerlas más competitivas en el marco de una economía globalizada que exige buenas prácticas de Gestión Humana.
