Theeffects are related with the development of the infrastructure, the interrelationswith local and regional companies, and employment generation.En este artículo se muestra la llegada de tres Empresas Multinacionales (EM) en la primera mitad del sigloXX y algunos de sus efectos en el desarrollo económico de Pereira y Dosquebradas. Se estudian sus características, la relación que tienen con el desarrollo de la región y sus efectos, tanto positivos como negativos.
