| Summary: | The article proposes a reflection on the valuation of regional historiography, which should be based from a revision of the basic concept of region, and to understand and elucidate how historians have understood the particular coffeeproducing region. To understand the history of the coffee-producing region, the research has been focus on the Antioquian Colonization as a factor of unity, although all its theoretical and conceptual structure must be reviewed and enriched.
