Facultad de Arquitectura y Diseño, Pereira, 2012El estudio profundo de las CASAS GEMELAS, ejemplos representativos de la Arquitectura del periodo Republicano, las cuales conservan características de diferente naturaleza; se convierten en un medio para congelar un fragmento de un eclecticismo que responde a las necesidades de los individuos, a las maneras de HACER (sistemas constructivos) y a los elementos (materiales),con los que se configuran espacios arquitectónicos representativos como el zaguán y el patio central, los espacios de transición, las habitaciones, el comedor, todo convergiendo en un rasgo cultural, que identifica a unos individuos que manifiestan desde la misma espacialidad de las casas, las diferentes actividades que allí se llevan a cabo. Las CASAS GEMELAS, nos muestran como en su parte más externa, se ubica la zona pública, mientras en el fondo, la parte más privada, (las habitaciones). Entender todos y cada uno de estos aspectos implica tener de por medio la historia, disciplina que nos demuestra que un edificio contemporáneo nunca podrá borrar las huellas de un edificio con una carga simbólica más significativa que el estilo de una misma época, LA MEMORIA COLECTIVA. /Abstract: The profound study of the twin houses, examples of the Republican period architecture, which retain characteristics of different nature, which becomes a means to freeze a fragment of an eclecticism that meets the needs of individuals, to the ways of DO (building systems) and elements (materials) that are configured with representative architectural spaces like the hall, the central courtyard, the transition space, storage cellars, rooms, dining room, all converging on a cultural trait , which identifies some individuals who appear from the same spatiality of the houses, the different activities that take place there. THE TWIN HOUSES, we show how in its outer part, lies the public area, while in the background, the most private (rooms).
