El objetivo general es identificar los factores asociados al bienestar psicológico de cuidadores de personas con discapacidad, mediante el conocimiento de su cotidianidad y experiencias, con el fin de establecer de qué forma las variables sociodemográficas estudiadas están relacionadas con la percepción de bienestar psicológico y el sentimiento de carga de los cuidadores. Dentro de la investigación se estableció un marco conceptual en torno a lo que supone el cuidado de una persona con discapacidad, seguido de esto se exploraron las variables asociadas al bienestar psicológico. Se trata de un estudio concebido desde una metodología mixto transversal, la muestra fueron 5 cuidadores de diferentes tipos de discapacidad, estratos socioeconómicos, género y edades. Como resultados se encuentra que no existen diferencias significativas en las variables exploradas frente a la percepción de bienestar psicológico, se podría inferir que variables como edad, género, parentesco, tiempo de cuidado, edad de cuidador, estrato socioeconómico y tipo de discapacidad, no influyen en el bienestar psicológico o en la percepción de sobrecarga del cuidador según la muestra escogida para esta investigación. / Abstract : This article focuses its study focus on caregivers of people with disabilities in order to answer the research question: What are the factors associated with the psychological well-being of caregivers of people with disabilities? The general objective is to identify the factors associated with the psychological well-being of caregivers of people with disabilities, through knowledge of their daily lives and experiences, in order to establish how the sociodemographic variables studied are related to the perception of psychological well-being and the feeling caregiver burden. Within the research, a conceptual framework was established around what the care of a person with a disability entails, followed by the variables associated with psychological well-being were explored. It is a study conceived from a cross-sectional mixed methodology, the sample was 5 caregivers of different types of disability, socioeconomic strata, gender and ages. As results, it is found that there are no significant differences in the variables explored against the perception of psychological well-being, it could be inferred that variables such as age, gender, kinship, time of care, age of caregiver, socioeconomic status and type of disability, do not influence in psychological well-being or in the perception of overload of the caregiver according to the sample chosen for this research.Universidad Católica de Pereira.
