Facultad de Arquitectura y Diseño, Pereira, 2011El municipio de la Virginia se ha visto afectado últimamente por las olas invernales, lo que ha llevado a generar un problema de déficit de vivienda para las personas de escasos recursos económicos, el cual se ve agravado por la falta de conciencia de sus habitantes los cuales han ayudado a que este problema se agrave diariamente con el mal uso de los bordes de los ríos Cauca y Risaralda, generando erosión de los suelos cercanos a estos; Es por esto que se plantea un proyecto de vivienda de interés prioritario, el cual se desarrollara en una de las zonas de expansión del municipio, apoyado por un proyecto de carácter urbano el cual plantea la conservación de las zonas protegidas del municipio y un retiro por medio de espacio público de la orilla de los ríos para generar una cultura de respeto y cuidado de estas dos grandes fuentes hídricas tan importantes para este municipio y sus habitantes./ Abstract: The town of Virginia has been hit recently by winter waves, which has been generating a deficit problem of housing for low-income people, which is exacerbated by the lack of awareness of its inhabitants which have helped this problem gets worse every day with the misuse of the edges of the rivers Cauca and Risaralda, causing soil erosion close to them;
