Facultad de Ciencias Humanas, Sociales y de la Educación, Pereira, 2011Las enfermedades crónicas, además de requerir de un adecuado diagnóstico, necesitan una permanente adherencia al tratamiento para lograr la modificación del estilo de vida. La hipertensión arterial es asintomática, razón por la cual el paciente desconoce la severidad de la misma, constituyéndose en un factor de riesgo para la salud. Esta enfermedad cardiovascular está asociada a diversos factores psicológicos, como el estrés, la ansiedad, depresión, hostilidad, ira y bajos niveles de apoyo social. Para el tratamiento de esta patología, se requiere un proceso de implicación activa por parte del paciente denominado adherencia terapéutica, que le permite al diagnosticado seguir las recomendaciones y adquirir hábitos beneficiosos; la falta de adherencia es una de las principales causas del bajo control de la presión arterial. Existen factores que interfieren en este proceso como son: a. los derivados del paciente (psicológicos): ansiedad, estrés, trastornos del estado de ánimo y rasgos de personalidad tipo a, b. los del entorno socio-económico y cultural (apoyo inadecuado), c. los de la enfermedad (asintomatología y cronicidad) y d. los del tratamiento farmacológico, servicios de salud y personal que atiende al paciente. El presente artículo tiene como objetivo, establecer la relación entre los factores psicosociales y las estrategias de afrontamiento empleadas por los pacientes con enfermedad oncológica. Para lo cual se realiza una juiciosa revisión teórica respecto a los desarrollos investigativos y textos que definan y permitan ver una actualización del concepto de enfermedad oncológica, factores psicosociales y estrategias de afrontamiento. finalmente se encuentra que existen factores psicosociales como el apoyo social y la información brindada por el personal médico, que hacen parte fundamental del empleo de estrategias de afrontamiento adaptativas por parte de los pacientes, entre las que se encuentran, espíritu de lucha, evitación y/o escape, reevaluación positiva y pensamiento racional. El presente artículo hace una revisión bibliográfica acerca de los antecedentes teóricos e investigativos que permiten establecer una relación entre el cáncer ginecológico como enfermedad y el impacto psicológico derivado de éste, en relación a los efectos generados en la maternidad, como resultado de los tratamientos tanto quirúrgicos como farmacológicos y producidos por la enfermedad, comprendiendo el impacto psicológico desde las exigencias socioculturales e individuales frente a la identidad femenina y las alteraciones emocionales que desencadena la infertilidad. /Abstract: Chronic diseases besides of requiring an accurate diagnosis need a permanent treatment’s adherence in order to improve the life’s style.the arterial hypertension is a lack of symptoms disease; therefore, the patient is acknowledge about the severity of his own illness been the principal fact of risk for the health. This cardiovascular disease is associated with numerous psychological facts as anxiety, depression, hostility, anger and low levels of social support. it is required for the process’s treatment an active participation from the patient called therapeutic adherence, which allows the individual to follow the recommendations and acquired healthy habits. they are different aspects which interfere with this particular process as: a. which are from the patient (psychological): anxiety, stress, emotional disorders and personal characteristics type a., b. which are from socio economic and cultural environment (inadequate support), c. which arise from the own disease (lack of symptoms and chronic symptoms) and d. which are from the pharmacological treatment in addition with the attention of the health’s staff who see about the patient. This article has as objective, establish the relationship between factors psychosocial and coping strategies used by patients with oncological disease. For which performs a judicious theoretical review regarding investigative developments and texts to define and enable to see an update to the concept of oncological disease coping strategies and psychosocial factors. finally found that as social support and information provided by medical personnel, psychosocial factors that make an essential part of the use of adaptive coping strategies for patients, among which are found, spirit of fight avoidance and/or exhaust, positive re-evaluation, rational thought exist. This article reviews the literature on the theoretical background and research to establish a relationship between gynecological cancer as a disease and the psychological impact resulting from this, in relation to the effects generated in the maternity ward as a result of both surgical treatment and pharmacological and produced by the disease itself, understanding the psychological impact from the cultural and individual needs in front of female identity and emotional disturbances that triggers infertility.Universidad Católica de Pereira.
