Facultad de Ciencias Humanas, Sociales y de la Educación, Pereira, 2008La comunicación en las ONG´S fluctúa entre el bajo presupuesto y la no tan buena reputación frente a la sociedad y el Estado. Lejos de ser rutinario y limitado, el trabajo del comunicador exige agudizar el ingenio y estar abiertos a todas las posibilidades comunicacionales sin descuidar la imagen corporativa. Trabajar en una ONG implica desempeñarse en un ámbito que por sus características enmarca el trabajo del comunicador; que la mayoría de ellas sea sin ánimo de lucro, ofrezca servicios y no productos, y que además deba generar sus propios recursos o depender de organizaciones internacionales o del gobierno, muestra un camino que en la mayoría de los casos conlleva a excluir las actividades de comunicación dentro la misma. Sin embargo, esto está lejos de limitar el radio de acción de nuestro trabajo, y por el contrario, nos pone frente a un desafío que como profesionales nos exige agudizar todo nuestro ingenio y destreza, para lograr ocupar un espacio en la selva comunicacional moderna, crear la necesidad en éstas organizaciones y cambiar la visión de periodistas que tenemos ante la sociedad. Los comunicadores tenemos la tarea de cambiar la perspectiva generando nuevos espacios en las organizaciones. The ONG´S communication to range between under budget and not so good reputation in front of society and the state. Far from being routine and limited, the communicator’s work, required to sharpen the ingenuity and to be opened for all communication possibilities without being careless the corporate image. To be employed at a ONG implies to get out of a jam itself in a area that for its characteristics include the communicator’s work; that the majority of they is now profit making that offers services and not products, and additional generates its own resources, or depend on international organizations and the government, a way shows us that in most cases it carries not to having a specific budget for the activities of communication. Nevertheless, this is one far from limiting the field of action of our work, and on the contrary it pus us opposite to a challenge that as professionals demands from us to sharpen all our ingenuity and skill, to manage to occupy a space in the communication modern jungle, to create the necessity in these organizations and change the journalist vision that we have in front of the society.
