Facultad de Arquitectura y Diseño, Pereira, 2022El presente escrito adquiere un enfoque teórico y cualitativo en torno a la memoria colectiva de los espacios en desuso (ruinas), tomando una posición crítica en torno a los tratamientos de estos inmuebles en vista que en la actualidad siguen existiendo edificaciones que pasan desapercibidas dentro del territorio y no se hace nada al respecto. Narrativas del lugar, como lo indica su nombre, pretende generar una reflexión alrededor de los aspectos que son invisibles; narrando y sensibilizando la historia del lugar desde la perspectiva de quienes lo habitaron en su pasado glorioso, al mismo tiempo que apuesta por la (re)construcción de la memoria en un marco temporal actual y futuro. Dentro del ejercicio se relacionan diferentes conceptos desde la antropología hasta la sociología y se adoptan dentro de un contexto arquitectónico para desarrollar una metodología clara de aplicación en el antiguo Convento Carmelitas Descalzas de la ciudad de Pereira, tomando dicho caso de estudio como referente para demostrar que un lugar es capaz de sobrevivir en el tiempo por la narración coherente de sus memorias colectivas y no necesariamente por la preservación estricta de su imagen física. / Abstract: The current writing acquires a theoretical and qualitative approach around the collective memory of disused places (ruins), taking a critical position around the treatments of these properties considering that in today there are still buildings that are unnoticed within the territory and nothing is done about it. Narratives of the place, as its name indicates, aims to generate a reflection around the aspects that are invisible, narrating and raising awareness of the history of the place from the perspective of those who inhabited it in its glorious past, while at the same time betting on the (re)construction of memory in a current and future time frame.
