Llegar a estas áreas precarias es fácil porque son asentamientos informales a los cuales puede acceder cualquier persona por su bajo costo de vida dentro del sector, también cabe resaltar que estas zonas tienden a ser lotes baldíos sin ningún tipo de protección estatal, lo que facilita a los ciudadanos al momento de establecerse en esos lugares, pues al no tener ningún ente que les prohíba vivir ahí, ellos se situarán precozmente porque nadie se los terminará prohibiendo. Habitar una insularización conlleva un precio muy grande para los que decidan establecerse ahí porque son lugares que no brindan servicios públicos dignos y cuentan con una tasa de insatisfacción muy grande frente a las necesidades básicas por parte de sus residentes. La ciudad de Pereira no es la excepción y no es ajena a este fenómeno, ya que en esta metrópoli ubicada en el municipio de Risaralda se evidencia una insularización muy grande en una zona periférica al oriente de la ciudad. La comuna insular anteriormente nombrada es Villa Santana, una comuna que será analizada a fondo desde su génesis hasta su actualidad para lograr entender el porqué es una zona con altos problemas de habitabilidad entre sus habitantes y cómo se puede dar una solución arquitectónica a esta problemática que parece estar destinada a perpetuarse si no se interviene oportunamente; una solución arquitectónica ayudaría a crear un espacio dentro de esta zona insular donde los habitantes encuentren la manera correcta de localizar la semilla que germinó en una caótica convivencia dentro del sector, para que posteriormente encuentren como comunidad la manera de derrocar esa mala coexistencia que existe entre ellos./ Abstract Insularization is a phenomenon at a global level that is applied in areas where there is no accentuated civilization within the city, since people who cannot live in the urbanization due to different socioeconomic aspects are housed there, which ends up creating the vulgarly called invasions or informal settlements in these places that receive foreigners who find in their virgin lands an opportunity to lay the foundations of a home. Reaching these precarious areas is easy because they are informal settlements that can be accessed by anyone due to their low cost of living within the sector. It should also be noted that these areas tend to be vacant lots without any type of state protection, which makes it easier for citizens to settle in these places, since they do not have any entity that prohibits them from living there, they will be located early because no one will end up prohibiting them. Living on an island carries a very high price for those who decide to settle there because they are places that do not provide decent public services and have a very high rate of dissatisfaction with the basic needs of their residents. The city of Pereira is no exception and is not unaware of this phenomenon, since in this metropolis located in the municipality of Risaralda there is evidence of a very large insularization in a peripheral area to the east of the city. The insular commune previously named is Villa Santana, a commune that will be analyzed in depth from its genesis to its present day in order to understand why it is an area with high habitability problems among its inhabitants and how an architectural solution can be given to this problem that seems destined to perpetuate itself if no timely intervention is made; An architectural solution would help to create a space within this insular zone where the inhabitants find the right way to locate the seed that germinated in a chaotic coexistence within the sector, so that later they find as a community the way to overthrow this bad coexistence that exists between them.Universidad Católica de Pereira.
