Facultad de Arquitectura y Diseño, Pereira, 2020Los niños pueden llegar a ser piezas clave en la transmisión del virus Covid-19 a la comunidad, ya que por un lado pueden ser mucho menos conscientes del uso de medios de protección o normas de bioseguridad cuando están fuera del alcance de sus acudientes y, por otro lado, la mayoría pueden llegar a ser asintomáticos, transmitiéndolo a personas mayores que pueden tener mayor peligro al contagiarse. Aunque hay pocos productos de protección en el mercado enfocado a este nicho, la implementación de tecnología en ellos podría ser un buen punto de investigación aliviando problemas o necesidades que un medio de protección común no cumpliría normalmente. Por lo tanto, esta investigación trata de mejorar el diseño de los productos de prevención contra el Covid-19 para los niños de 4 a 6 años, convirtiéndolo en un dispositivo tecnológico, cómodo y al mismo tiempo divertido. Para realizar este análisis se utiliza la metodología U+P+C realizada por la diseñadora industrial Luz Mercedes Sáenz Zapata, que se enfoca en la construcción de objetos enfocando la mirada a las necesidades de los Usuarios, los Productos y el Contexto, poniendo a la co-creación junto a la comunidad en un primer plano, haciéndolos partícipes del diseño. Como resultado se obtiene un dispositivo de protección respiratoria que brinda información y lúdica, haciendo que los niños o usuarios directos se interesen por él, estén seguros y se diviertan al mismo tiempo. El uso consciente de este producto aparte de prevenir el contagio, puede impactar positivamente en la confianza de los acudientes al momento del regreso a las actividades normales en pandemia y al mismo tiempo comodidad y diversión a los niños, con el menor impacto psicológico y físico posible. / Abstract: Children can become key players in the transmission of the Covid-19 virus to the community, since on the one hand they may be much less aware of the use of means of protection or biosecurity standards when they are out of the reach of their parents and, on the other hand, the majority can become asymptomatic, transmitting it to older people who may be in greater danger when they become infected. Although there are few protection products on the market focused on this niche, the implementation of technology in them could be a good point of investigation, alleviating problems or needs that a common means of protection would not normally meet. Therefore, this research tries to improve the design of prevention products against Covid-19 for children from 4 to 6 years old, making it a technological, comfortable and at the same time fun device. To carry out this analysis, the U + P + C methodology is used by the industrial designer Luz Mercedes Sáenz Zapata, which focuses on the construction of objects focusing on the needs of Users, Products and the Context, putting the co-creation with the community in the foreground, making them participate in the design. As a result, a respiratory protection device is obtained that provides information and fun, making children or direct users interested in it, be safe and have fun at the same time.
