Facultad de Arquitectura y Diseño, Pereira, 2012EL ejercicio proyectual realizado en la línea de profundización de teoría, historia y patrimonio, nos ha llevado a un exhaustivo trabajo de análisis de la ciudad de Manizales, en donde el contexto patrimonial y la influencia arquitectónica de diferentes épocas, han impuesto en la propuesta factores que fortalecen el ejercicio académico, de igual manera nos ha hecho comprender las diferentes dinámicas y problemáticas de Manizales, por lo tanto el resultado es una arquitectura pensada por y para la ciudad, valorar las percepciones, sensaciones y la memoria de los habitantes, enaltecer la evidente importancia de un edificio majestuoso como la catedral, encontrar edificios modernos que contrastan con la arquitectura republicana como lo son el edificio banco de comercio y Digitex, entender las dinámicas comerciales y se servicio actuales nos ha llevado a concluir que el uso habitacional en este caso transitorio como se ofrece en un hotel, genera una apropiación de la calle y se convierte mediante la materialidad propuesta, en un referente no solo para la cuidad sino para la arquitectura contemporánea. / Abstract: The projective exercise conducted in-depth line of theory, history and heritage, has led to an exhaustive analysis of the city of Manizales, where the heritage context and the architectural influence of different periods have been imposed in the proposed factors that strengthen academic exercise, likewise has made us understand the different dynamics and problems of Manizales, so the result is an architecture designed by and for the city, assess the perceptions, feelings and memories of the people, enhance the obvious importance of a majestic building like the cathedral, to find modern buildings that contrast with the republican architecture such as the building trade bank and Digitex, understand the business dynamics and current service has led us to conclude that the residential use in this case transient and is offered in a hotel, generates an appropriation of the street and is converted by the materiality proposal, a reference not only to the city but for contemporary architecture.Universidad Católica de Pereira;
