This discussion which has been part ofthe current thesis theoretical framework, explainsin the first place, the meaning of developmentand its different conceptualizations throughouthistory, for understanding why a multiplicity ofdimensions, currents, approaches and postureshave been woven on its behalf. Then, in a secondpart, we present how we move from an economicconception to a more human idea as that of a humandevelopment unfolding, which has been understoodas opportunities, capacities and freedoms. |
