Summary:This article is part of the research project “Notes on the behaviorism in business administration.” The article presents a review of the literature on the human factor in the workplace, understood in historic, economic, and social contexts and taking into account both rational economic concerns for employees' performance and productivity and their incidence on enterprises' ability to achieve their objectives. This article tries to contribute to a better understanding by national and regional entrepreneurs of what human beings represent in terms of potential and talent and the contribution they can make to the fulfillment of organizational purposes.
