El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar la relación entre las estrategias de afrontamiento de los cuidadores y la calidad de vida de niños diagnosticados con TEA pertenecientes a la red de apoyo Genios en Potencia; se da lugar a una investigación cuantitativa no experimental, con un diseño de tipo correlacional, los instrumentos empleados: la Escala de Evaluación de la Calidad de vida de niños y adolescentes con trastorno del espectro autista y discapacidad intelectual (KidsLife-TEA) y la Escala de Estrategias de Coping- Modificada (EEC-M). Contó con una muestra conformada de 10 niños diagnosticados clínicamente con TEA y sus respectivos cuidadores, los participantes asisten a la red de apoyo conocida como Genios en Potencia ubicada en la ciudad de Pereira. Entre los resultados más relevantes se encuentra que existe una correlación negativa entre la estrategia de negación y el índice de calidad de vida de los niños con diagnóstico de TEA; a futuras investigaciones se recomienda muestras más grandes y con inclusión de ambos géneros en el caso de los niños con diagnóstico de TEA, los cuales puedan tener edades más avanzadas para evitar los sesgos en las respuestas, también, sería interesante implementar otras investigaciones que puedan dar cuenta de la relación del cuidado y las características sociodemográficas de los cuidadores. /Abstract: The autism spectrum disorder denotes in recent years an increase in its prevalence, coming to be considered one of the main reasons for consultation in neuropediatrics and child psychiatry. The objective of this research is to analyze the relationship between the coping strategies of caregivers and the quality of life of children diagnosed with ASD belonging to the Genios en Potencia support network;in this sense, a non-experimental quantitative research is given, with a correlational design, making use of instruments such as: the CVI- Questionnaires for the Evaluation of the Quality of Life in Childhood and the Scale of Coping-Modified Strategies (EEC-M). It has a sample of 10 children clinically diagnosed with ASD and their respective caregivers, participants attend the support network known as Genios en Potencia located in the city of Pereira.
