Facultad de Arquitectura y Diseño, Pereira, 2015El proyecto arquitectónico nace a partir de la realidad actual de la ciudad de Bogotá; la congestión en los juzgados, que acarrean problemas al estado y de derechos humanos. Por esto se propone un juzgado penal, permitiendo a los detenidos tener el debido proceso judicial, siendo parte de todo el conjunto de edificios de gobierno del centro de Bogotá. Se ubica en la Cra. 10 con Av. Jiménez, una zona de alto índice de inseguridad y carente de renovación, con dos edificios de valor cultural, el Edificio Samper Brush y la sede judicial Hernando Morales Molina. Se plantea como problema la imagen del poder. ¿Qué características predominantes de la arquitectura judicial tradicional en Colombia, pueden variar o diferenciarse para cambiar la imagen arquitectónica del poder en un nuevo proyecto? Entendiendo estas características se toman decisiones generales con respecto a los aspectos que configuran la imagen y su cambio. Si bien la arquitectura tradicional del poder público representa poder y superioridad, el proyecto pretende cambiar a una imagen de servicio, por y para el público, a un ambiente democrático, es por esto que se decide la primacía de lo público sobre lo privado como principal decisión. / Abstract: The architectural project was born from the current reality of Bogotá; congestion in the courts, that bring problems to the state and human rights. For this reason, a criminal court is proposed, allowing detainees to have a correct procedure, as well as being part of the whole government buildings group in the downtown area. It is located in Cra. 10 with Av. Jimenez, an area of high levels of insecurity and lack of renewal, with two buildings of cultural value, the building Samper Brush and judicial headquarters Hernando Morales Molina. It poses as a problem of the image of power. What characteristics of traditional justice structure in Colombia, may vary or differ to change the architectural image of power in a new project? Understanding these characteristics, decisions are taken regarding the aspects that make up the image and it´s change.
