Para tal fin las investigadoras se enfocaron en la estrategia, la lectura emergente, el cuento tradicional y las pautas de crianza. Los resultados señalan que hay una relación directa entre el interés de niños y niñas por los libros y su contenido (lectura emergente) y la estimulación temprana a la lectura (cuentos tradicionales), siendo evidente que los cuentos ayudan a fomentar las pautas de crianza.
