En primer lugar, se realiza un recorrido entorno a la educación iniciando con el contexto histórico, las políticas educativas y los modelos pedagógicos. En segundo lugar, se expone el desarrollo de las competencias y el uso adecuado de las TIC en los procesos educativos, mostrando como las tecnologías han permitido innovar en la educación creando nuevas formas de conocimiento en el ámbito de enseñanza - aprendizaje, aprendizaje – colaborativo, y un aprendizaje significativo. Por lo tanto, las nuevas formas de la comunicación interactiva e instantánea y la tecnología son recursos valiosos para generar la creatividad, la interdisciplinariedad y el trabajo en equipo para una construcción pedagógica con base al uso de la tecnología a la educación. Abstract : The present project pretends to show how the technologies of the information and communication (TIC) are tools in the pedagogical process between the teacher, the student and its impact on the rural community from the Institucion Educativa Alto Cauca from the town of Marsella, Risaralda. In the first place, it was done a background review through the education starting with the historical context, followed with the educative politics and to the pedagogical models. In second place, it is exposed the development of the competences and the adequate use of the TIC in the educative processes, showing how the technologies have allowed innovation in education creating new forms of knowledge in the context of teaching-learning, collaborative learning and meaningful learning. Therefore, the new forms of interactive and instantaneous communication and the technologies are valuable resources to generate the creativity, interdisciplinarity and the team work for a pedagogical construction based on the usage of the technology to the education.Universidad Católica de Pereira.
