Summary: | In this work, it is advanced from the explanation of the factors associated with theproblem of unemployment that has characterized the labor market in theMidwestern Metropolitan Area (AMCO) in the last two decades, for which thebehavior of the labor information series supplied by the National AdministrativeDepartment of Statistics (DANE) is checked comparatively. It is also argued thatthis is a structural phenomenon linked to supply conditions (demographicchanges and labor force participation degree) and demand (outsourcingcharacteristics of the local economy). It is also noted that in the issue of labormarket, qualitative imbalances expressed in clear conditions of gender inequalityconcur. |
