Summary:A microenterprise is an economic unit created to incentivize its owners, its initialcapital contribution comes mainly from savings from previous efforts, familycontributions, and loans. Likewise, one of the problems a microenterprise has isits financial structure. The funding decision has an implication on its financialperformance indicators, such as the level of debt, capital cost, the assumedrisk and lending capacity. With this article, it is pretended to present the mostrepresentative results regarding the perception microenterprise managers haverelated to its financial management and the acquisition of loans. In this way,is intended to contribute to the improvement of the financial education thatmicro-entrepreneurs have, this is accomplished through a qualitative researchsupported by a descriptive methodology
