Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y Administrativas, Pereira, 2018.El presente artículo es el resultado de un trabajo de revisión bibliográfica, en el cual se evalúa la problemática ambiental generada por la inadecuada disposición final de residuos sólidos, en la vereda de Santana Baja del municipio de Dosquebradas; donde se presenta un panorama general de la situación; se describen las políticas públicas vigentes para el manejo integral de residuos sólidos, el papel que juega el estado y cómo la insuficiente aplicación de estrategias de gestión ambiental, han influido en la configuración de la problemática en la zona, y finalmente se termina con un análisis de las propuestas que plantea la administración municipal para intervenir en la solución. Abstract: The present article is the result of a bibliographic review work, in which the environmental problems generated by the inadequate final disposal of solid waste are evaluated, in the village of Santana Baja of the municipality of Dosquebradas; where a general overview of the situation is presented; the current public policies for the integral management of solid waste are described, the role played by the state and how the insufficient application of environmental management strategies, has influenced to the configuration of the problem in the area, and finally it ends with an analysis of the proposals that the municipal administration proposes to intervene in the solution.Universidad Católica de Pereira.
