Los objetivos específicos darán cuenta del alcance de la pregunta y su desarrollo metodológico fue de carácter cualitativo. El trabajo se orientó a partir de la realización de actividades en el área de lenguaje, con 19 estudiantes de grado primero, empleando la observación participante y entrevistas semiestructuradas como instrumentos de recolección de la información. Se establecieron tres categorías de análisis: autoestima, formación y didáctica. Se encontró que la exposición a estrategias propias de la didáctica Geempa propicia espacios de formación integral y fortalecimiento de la autoestima, favoreciendo al mismo tiempo habilidades en los procesos comunicativos./ Abstract: The purpose of this article is to understand how the Geempa didactic favors the processes of training and strengthening of self-esteem in children aged 6 to 8 years of the Pedro Uribe Mejía Educational Institution, Risaralda school. The specific objectives will explain the scope of the question and its methodological development was of a qualitative nature. The work was guided by the realization of activities in the area of language, with 19 first grade students, using participant observation and semi-structured interviews as instruments for gathering information. Three categories of analysis were established: self-esteem, training and didactics. It was found that the Geempa didactic propitiates spaces of integral formation, but it is the teacher's task to complement these spaces with the design of interventions in the strengthening of self-esteem.Universidad Católica de Pereira.
