El presente documento expone el proceso de investigación desarrollado en la optativa II - proyecto + memoria, en donde se profundiza en la creación del espacio en el cual las personas establecen una relación histórica y geográfica, a través de metodologías presentadas por el docente, las cuales ayudaron a buscar y clasificar información, permitiendo posteriormente el desarrollo de una reflexión que responda a las problemáticas encontradas en Santa cruz de Mompox (declarado patrimonio de la humanidad según la UNESCO), generando la oportunidad para su oferta turística y cultural, donde se da lugar al planteamiento de un centro de visitantes, convirtiéndose en un punto de referencia para el público el cual brinda información y enriquece la experiencia de quienes lo visitan, pretendiendo ser de ayuda a la organización turística que ya está establecida en el lugar, Logrando una apreciación sensible de su entorno para la práctica interpretativa y brindando diferentes espacios colectivos necesarios para la integración social de la comunidad.
