| Summary: | Statistics about unemployment reported by the households´ inquiry from the DANE show some general issues about labor market from the Area Metropolitana Centro Occidente (AMCO), such as the persistence of high unemployment rates during last two decades and the worsening of the employment variables during last two years. Due to this problems, the article presents arguments that support the following project´s hypothesis: i) a central component of this unemployment has structural characteristics, hence its treatment needs actions that exceed the shock politics dimension; ii) In the explaining process of the present conjuncture, demand factors explain the actual situation in the labor market; iii) in AMCO´s labor market is bigger the quantitative disequilibrium than the qualitative.. |
