Para el logro del objetivo, se utilizó un enfoque metodológico mixto, mediante la encuesta y la entrevista aplicadas a un grupo de docentes y estudiantes de una de las Instituciones Educativas elegida por conveniencia del sector rural. Con el análisis del instrumento cuantitativo se identificó dos posibles casos de innovación educativa a los cuales se les aplicó el instrumento cuantitativo al que se le hizo su correspondiente análisis. Los instrumentos se diseñaron y analizaron a partir de las categorías establecidas por la UNESCO (2016) sobre el proceso de desarrollo y consolidación de la innovación. Abstract:The present work was carried out with the purpose of describing the state of the art of TIC-mediated rural educational innovation in the municipality of Guática Risaralda. To achieve the objective, a mixed methodological approach was used, through the survey and interview applied to a group of teachers and students from one of the educational institutions chosen for convenience in the rural sector. With the analysis of the quantitative instrument, two possible cases of educational innovation were identified, to which the quantitative instrument to which the corresponding analysis was made was applied.
