Summary: | The article describes the context of Ecofibras Ltda., research arises to respond. How through initiatives of small rural companies, locally integrated value chains can contribute to sustainable and competitive rural development processes? The study was conducted by a cooperation agreement between the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and Mink’a Chorlaví Fund in order to systematize experiences generators of new non-agricultural rural markets such as small industries, handicrafts, rural tourism, and environmental services, among others. Therefore, the results provide an explanation of how processes and adaptive capacities in the production of sisal, manages to generate social dynamics of integration to regional and national chains of value. |
