Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y Administrativas, Pereira, 2009En el presente trabajo de investigación, se han estudiado diferentes variables, con la finalidad de indagar sobre el manejo que dan las grandes y medianas empresas del sector metalmecánico a sus excedentes de efectivo, es decir, los superávit de liquidez que pueden tener en determinados periodos. Para cumplir con este objetivo, se inicia por realizar una breve descripción a dos ejes centrales, los cuales son el sistema financiero y el sector metalmecánico; a partir de la dinámica actual. Una de las principales razones que motivo a los investigadores a la realización de este trabajo, ha sido el de saber como se encuentra el panorama real y como actúan las organizaciones en épocas de crisis, esto ha permitido determinar que actitudes están asumiendo los empresarios frente a las diversas alternativas que ofrece el sistema financiero. Para obtener la información pertinente, se aplico una entrevista a grandes y medianos empresarios pertenecientes al sector metalmecánico de Pereira y Dosquebradas. A través de la cuál, fue posible tener un mayor acercamiento sobre de la percepción que tienen los empresarios acerca del mercado financiero, de la crisis económica actual; pero especialmente se pudo determinar como están invirtiendo sus excedentes de liquidez y cuales son los principales factores que tienen en cuenta para tomar estas decisiones./Abstract In the present Project, different variables have been studied, with the aim to search how big and middle companies of the metal mechanic sector invest their surplus of money, that is to say, excess liquidity that are possible to have in certain time. In order to carry out this project, it began to enable a short description about two principal topics, such as financial system and mechanic sector; from current dynamics. One of the main objectives that was important to researchers to execution of this project, has been to know how is the current context and how are the principal actions that have taken the companies at time of crisis. At the same time, these have allowed establish which are the principal behaviors that entrepreneurs are taking in front different alternatives that the financial sector is offering. Therefore, to get the information, was applied an interview to big and middle companies of the metal mechanic sector in Pereira and Dosquebradas.
