This systematic review aimed to analyze the relationship between parenting styles and aggressive behaviors in children and adolescents, identifying positive and negative associations, as well as mediating variables. Following the PRISMA methodology, a search was conducted in four databases (Scopus, Scielo, Web of Science, and Redalyc) for articles published between 2019 and 2024, and 14 documents were selected that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results indicated that authoritarian, permissive, and neglectful parenting styles, as well as those based on hostility, control, and overprotection, were positively associated with aggressive behaviors. The authoritative style and styles based on love and warmth showed negative associations. Finally, emotional dysregulation, empathy, behavioral dysregulation, and rule-breaking behaviors were identified as mediating variables between some parenting styles and aggressive behaviors in children and adolescents.
