In this new scenario, an objective arisesaiming to characterize the relationships that a group ofyoung students has with ICT in their everyday life in the cityof Pereira. This research supports the conclusion that nightand home time and space are young preferred for the use ofICT, who are not experts in the managing of all applicationsand sometimes require technological assistance from the socalled “immigrants.” This allows the debate about importedtheories and the naturalization of the same in our context,and thus to contribute to the discovery of the actual use ofICT in everyday life for these young people.La activa participación de los jóvenes en el uso de las TIC, hace que se aten a la categoría de “nativos digitales”; en la orilla opuesta, tanto del uso como etaria, están los “inmigrantes digitales”. Ante este nuevo panorama surge el objetivo de caracterizar las relaciones que un grupo de jóvenes escolarizados, de la ciudad de Pereira, tiene con las TIC en su vida cotidiana. Esta investigación permite concluir que la noche y el hogar son el tiempo y espacio preferido para el uso de las TIC por parte de los jóvenes; que no son expertos en el manejo de todas las aplicaciones y en ocasiones requieren ayuda tecnológica de los llamados “inmigrantes”.
