It is found that the key actions for that purpose are summarized in the use of its identity and the coffee culture the municipality possess, the strengthening of partnership and the expansion of training opportunities for its population. Starting from the first thing it can leverage a project of added value incorporation to its main agricultural product, using the appellation of origin; the subject of associativity is essential for the consolidation of a specialty coffee program and the agro-industrial development of banana, blackberry and lulo; and work training for a pending agenda in advancing for the competitiveness task of activities such as tourism and the management.En este documento se estudia la situación del municipio de Santa Rosa de Cabal, a partir de la revisión de las potencialidades productivas, organizativas e institucionales desde las cuales se puede dinamizar un proceso de desarrollo local endógeno. Se encuentra que las acciones clave para ese propósito se resumen en un aprovechamiento de la identidad y cultura cafetera que posee el municipio, el fortalecimiento de la asociatividad y la ampliación de oportunidades de formación para su población.
