| Summary: | The interest of this article is to provide elements for researchproduction of contemporary practices of the self from aFoucauldian look. Therefore, an initial refl ection on thepractices of the self and its use in control societies is unfolded.Then, in order to think on these problems the foundationalliterature from Michel Foucault is indicated. Later,productions on the topic that can provide both categoricaland methodological elements for these investigations areoutlined. Finally, some conclusions about the processes ofsubjectivity and power relations that take shape in them, aswell as the possibilities that the practices of self offer thesubjects to become an object of his own work are unfold. |
