description This paper describes the process of development and subsequent validation of a Digital Educational Resource, which is expected to allow students to use Algebra Tiles from a mobile device, in order to improve their knowledge of algebra concepts. The development of the project was conducted under the guidelines of instructional design and its validation was performed in the context of a pilot test in which teachers and students participated. From the results of this experience it can be inferred that the adoption of new mobile technologies in educational processes is relevant; therefore teachers and researchers should explore this type of resources to complement their lecture classes. The results achieved in the process of validation are promising and permit to envision that in the long term, the use of these educative resources will help students improve their mathematical knowledge.

El desarrollo del proyecto se basó en los lineamientos del diseño instruccional y su validación se realizó mediante una prueba piloto en la cual participaron docentes y estudiantes. Los resultados de esta experiencia permiten inferir que la adopción de las nuevas tecnologías móviles en los procesos educativos es pertinente y por ende se recomienda a los docentes e investigadores que exploren con este tipo de recursos para complementar las actividades académicas presenciales. Los resultados logrados con los estudiantes son prometedores y permiten conjeturar que, a largo plazo, la utilización de este tipo de recursos puede ayudarles a mejorar su conocimiento matemático.Este artigo apresenta o processo de criação e posterior validação de um Recurso Educacional Digital, o qual se pretende que seja usado pelos estudantes a partir de um dispositivo móvel, com o objetivo de reforçar os seus conhecimentos de álgebra. O desenvolvimento do projeto foi baseado nas diretrizes de design instrucional e a sua validação foi realizada por uma prova piloto, na qual participaram docentes e estudantes. Os resultados desta experiência permitem inferir que a adoção de novas tecnologias móveis em processos educativos é pertinente e, portanto, se recomenda aos docentes e pesquisadores que explorem este tipo de recursos para complementar as atividades acadêmicas presenciais.
