Para esta investigación se parte del reconocimiento de estructuras urbanas que se desvinculan de la idea occidental que trae consigo trazados, estructuras o geometrías definidas y se fija la mirada en los contextos que se inscriben en la naturaleza de sistemas caóticos. En cuanto a los sistemas caóticos no solo se entenderán como los resultados que aparentan ser aleatorios, descontrolados o sin orden, por el contrario se parte de un entendimiento de lo caótico como sistemas complejos, en los cuales se puede comprender el patrón de operación como resultante del cruce o relaciones de múltiples variables; relaciones que están compuestas por diferentes partes o que se interconectan, entrelazan e interactúan entre sí, que como resultado de estos cruces se genera nueva información. Las formas de proceder, las relaciones o resultados de configuración urbana que se establecen no se pueden entender a simple vista o en la observación ligera del resultado final, es por esto que la investigación permite cruzar variables de procesos históricos y estructuras colectivas o culturales como principales definidores de las transformaciones espaciales del lugar y por consiguiente de los criterios de operación urbana que se establecen, entendiendo que la forma de crecimiento de la ciudad es un reflejo y resultado de la civilización que ocupa el lugar, de las diferentes relaciones que se pueden dar entre los elementos que componen el mercado (como lugar de estudio), las creencias y las perspectivas sociológicas, económicas y políticas de la comunidad. Abstract: This chapter presents the analysis of urban systems and strategies that can be defined in a chaotic context, understanding them as constructions of the memory of a place, presented today as a result of a configuration of historical processes that superimpose the layers of a city, this, to link tools found in the analysis in the definition of an urban architectural piece that is able to support and make use of the processes of urban memory. For this research we start from the recognition of urban structures that are detached from the western idea that brings with it defined layouts, structures or geometries, and we look at the contexts that are inscribed in the nature of chaotic systems. Chaotic systems will not only be understood as results that appear to be random, uncontrolled or without order, on the contrary, we start from an understanding of the chaotic as complex systems, in which the operation pattern can be understood as the result of the crossing or relationships of multiple variables; relationships that are composed of different parts or that are interconnected, intertwined and interact with each other, and as a result of these crossings new information is generated. The ways of proceeding, the relationships or results of urban configuration that are established cannot be understood at a glance or in the light observation of the final result, this is why the research allows to cross variables of historical processes and collective or cultural structures as the main definers of the spatial transformations of the place and therefore of the criteria of urban operation that are established, understanding that the form of growth of the city is a reflection and result of the civilization that occupies the place, of the different relationships that can occur between the elements that make up the market (as a place of study), the beliefs and the sociological, economic and political perspectives of the community.Universidad Católica de Pereira, Arq.
