In order to do it, from a qualitative methodological approach was verifi ed that apart from mutations in the realm of ideas, it is possible to do the same amount regarding lexicon. It is shown that mutations exist that are important from the assumptions and goals, which are forms to fractionate horizons of meaning. It is considered that the different lexicons are not individual but social constructions around an academic discipline, profession or fi elds of interest. What occurs in the dynamic is the refl ection from the emphasis of training discipline and interest towards study phenomena.Se presenta la siguiente pregunta ¿Cuáles son los presupuestos y los fines con los que están comprometidos los léxicos, así como sus respectivas mutaciones en los textos incluidos en una revista objeto de análisis para la presente investigación?, la respuesta se respalda desde los siguientes autores Conant (2002), Fleck (1986), y Bourdieu (2002), desplegándose a partir de dos refl exiones; una de ellas “mundos posibles para las ciencias” y la otra “discurso y educación superior”. Para ello, desde una propuesta metodológica cualitativa se verificó que, aparte de las mutaciones en el campo de las ideas, es posible hacer otro tanto en lo relativo al léxico. Se demuestra que las mutaciones existen, que son importantes desde los presupuestos y fines, y que son formas de lotear horizontes de sentidos. Se considera que los diferentes léxicos no son construcciones individuales, sino sociales alrededor de una disciplina académica, una profesión o campos de interés.
