Summary:This article is a bibliographic review about the influence of genetic factors in the dependence of stimulating psychoactive substances. Many of the biological factors that affect the risk of drugs dependence apparently acts through a general outer factor. On the other hand, other genetic factors seem to be specific to certain disorders. If know for sure which are these tendency factors, they could develop testing to detect them and plans of intervention o prevention to reduce the possibilities that people fall into this type of addictions.
