El territorio de la Guajira está constituido por la península de La Guajira, Esta región estratégica para el país, que es parte del Gran Caribe y que tiene frontera con Venezuela, tiene un gran potencial de desarrollo, pero también grandes desafíos en cuanto a ofrecer a su población condiciones dignas de vida y oportunidades para la reducción de la desigualdad, el reconocimiento de su diversidad cultural, el fortalecimiento de sus instituciones y la diversificación de su economía. Uribia ubicado en la alta Guajira a 150 km de Riohacha, es un territorio en su mayoría rural, donde habita población principalmente indígena de manera dispersa. Este proyecto está planteado como punto generador para potencializar el sector y disminuir las amenazas del pueblo Wayuu, tomando principalmente su plan de vida y articulándolo con el desarrollo de Uribia, permitiendo un desarrollo progresivo en la zona; teniendo como plan a ejecutar, el diseño de una vivienda sostenible, su estructura, y el presupuesto de la misma, la cual proporcione estándares de habitabilidad adecuados, teniendo un espacio el cual les provea sus necesidades y puedan practicar sus diferentes actividades cotidianas y culturales. Abstract: The La Guajira desert is located in the northern part of Colombia and belongs to the group of departments of the Colombian Caribbean Region. The territory of La Guajira is made up of the La Guajira peninsula, This strategic region for the country, which is part of the Greater Caribbean and borders Venezuela, has great development potential, but also great challenges in terms of offering its population decent living conditions and opportunities to reduce inequality , the recognition of its cultural diversity, the strengthening of its institutions and the diversification of its economy. Uribia located in the upper Guajira 150 km from Riohacha, is a mostly rural territory, where mainly indigenous population lives in a dispersed way. This project is proposed as a generating point to potentiate the sector and reduce the threats of the Wayuu people, mainly taking their life plan and articulating it with the development of Uribia, allowing a progressive development in the area; Having as a plan to execute, the design of a sustainable home, its structure, and its budget, which provides adequate standards of habitability, having a space which provides their needs and they can practice their different daily and cultural activities.Universidad Católica de Pereira.
