Una de las realidades de las MiPymes del sector manufacturero es la falta de definición y estandarización de las actividades y procesos ejecutados, ocasionando que muchas veces se presenten retrasos con las entregas a los clientes y disminuyendo su satisfacción. Esta investigación se llevó a cabo en tres etapas, se inició con el diseño y aplicación de una encuesta a una muestra de empresas MiPymes manufactureras del departamento de Risaralda, con el fin de diagnosticar el estado actual de la gestión de inventarios en este tipo de empresas, posteriormente se identificaron las herramientas y/o métodos que se podrían utilizar para la gestión de inventarios en estas MiPymes, de acuerdo a las necesidades identificadas en el diagnóstico; finalmente se construyó la propuesta para la aplicación de las herramientas y/o métodos identificados. Esta investigación plantea una propuesta para la gestión de inventarios donde se garantice que la información sobre sus productos en las áreas de almacenamiento sea confiable y se genere un mejoramiento continuo de sus procesos. One of the realities of the MiPymes of the manufacturing sector is the lack of definition and standardization of the activities and processes implemented, causing with this, often delays with deliveries to customers and decreasing their satisfaction.This research was carried out in three stages, started with the design and application of a survey to a sample of manufacturing MiPymes from the department of Risaralda, in order to diagnose the current state of inventory management in this type of companies, the tools and/or methods that could be used for inventory management in these MiPymes were subsequently identified according to the needs identified in the diagnosis; and finally built the proposal for the application of the tools and/or methods identified.
