Facultad de Ciencias Humanas, Sociales y de la Educación, Pereira, 2016La impulsividad es un constructo con definición difusa, este ha sido entendido en ocasiones como criterio diagnóstico para identificación de problemas de salud y predicción de conductas. El presente trabajo pretende evaluar la relación entre impulsividad y autocontrol, para ello se sigue una metodología descriptiva-correlacional a partir de las mediciones de autocontrol del 16PF-5 y las de impulsividad del BIS-11 a una muestra de 267 estudiantes de primer año de psicología de la UCP. Al evaluar la relación se encuentran correlaciones bajas y negativas, indicando que la variable medida en una difiere a las medidas en la otra. Este trabajo pretende aportar a mejorar en futuras mediciones, este caso evidenció que se miden aspectos independientes con los mismos criterios.\Abstract The impulsivity is a concept with a diffuse definition, this has been understood sometimes as a diagnostic criterion for identifying health problems and predicting behavior. This paper aims to evaluate the relationship between impulsivity and self-control. For this the methodology followed is a descriptive-correlational measured of self-control 16PF-5 and impulsivity BIS-11 to one sample of 267 freshmen of psychology at the UCP. To evaluate the relationship are low and negative correlations, When evaluating the ratio are low and negative correlations, indicating that the measured variable in a different measures in the other. This work aims to contribute to improve future measurements, this case showed that independent aspects with the same criteria are measured.Universidad Católica de Pereira.
