Esos lugares son las embajadas de una patria” (Kiarostami, 2013 Párrafo 1). Desde el punto de vista de la arquitectura, hablar del desarrollo de las sociedades implica necesariamente discutir cómo la disposición de los espacios, vivienda, y servicios púbicos permite el mejoramiento de las condiciones de vida de las personas que habitan un territorio. Por ello, resulta plausible considerar una analogía en donde las ciudades se asemejan a ecosistemas naturales, puestas estas se modifican de acuerdo a las necesidades vigente de cada momento histórico, permitiendo así una delimitación constante del terreno. Gracias al arreglo de las ciudades emergen diversos escenarios desde los cuales, gracias al uso de símbolos, se expresa la voz del humano, tornando a los espacios públicos en lugares cargados de tradiciones, y prácticas ritualísticas. Así pues, los espacios de ocio o entretenimiento hayan su haber dentro de las ciudades, invistiéndolas de cierto aire de vida, cultura, e identidad. Ahora bien, tomar la arquitectura como objeto supone un ejercicio de contextualización en donde se enmarcan los hitos de desarrollo de la ciudad, de manera que la referencia y vuelta a la historia es tenida como eje fundamental para la postulación de pautas que fortalezcan las ideas poryectuales. Para el caso concreto de la ciudad de Pereira, esta ha recibido la fama de sitio lleno de personas pujantes, trabajadoras, cívicas y solidarias. Dentro de los anales de su historia se destacan los convites, ya que permitieron la ejecución de obras tan importantes como el aeropuerto Matecaña, el hospital San Jorge, entre otras, que gracias a las iniciativas propias de la comunidad como la venta de alimentos y la marcha del ladrillo, dieron un empujón al crecimiento de la ciudad. Al tratar de comprender la interacción humana con su entorno, se vuelve complejo a medida que el arquitecto como profesional es el responsable directa e indirectamente de su comportamiento, evidenciando factores problemáticos en diferente categorías no solo arquitectónicas y urbanísticas, sino también las dinámicas sociales y culturales de los Pereiranos, por ello es deber nosotros como la nueva generación de arquitectos ser consientes y buscar esos balances tan necesarios como el del equipamiento y el espacio público efectivo, tratado de comprenderlo como una relación simbiótica, es decir una no puede subsistir sin la otra ayudándose entre si, esto permitirá no solo la perdurabilidad del edificio si no también su relación con su usuario potencial. From the point of view of an architect, the development of society means discussing how the space, dwelling and public services are all for the betterment of living conditions of the people that inhabit a specific area. In order to do this, one can liken the cities to natural ecosystems, since these modify themselves based on the actual needs of each historic moment, thus allowing a constant delimitation of the land. Thanks to the existence of cities various scenarios emerge. Thanks to the use of symbols, they express the human voice, transforming public spaces into places full of tradition and11 ritualistic practices. This allows leisure and entertainment to find their place within city limits, granting them an air of life, culture and identity. Now, taking architecture as an object involves an exercise of contextualization where the development milestones of the city are framed, so that the reference and return to history is taken as the fundamental axis for the postulation of guidelines that strengthen project ideas. For the specific case of the city of Pereira, it has received the fame of a place full of thriving, hard-working, civic and supportive people. Among its historical records are the treats, as they allowed the execution of important works such as the Matecaña airport, the San Jorge hospital, among others, thanks to the community's own initiatives such as the sale of food and march of the brick, gave a boost to the growth of the city.
