Facultad de Ciencias Humanas, Sociales y de la Educación, Pereira, 2010El turismo y la salud se han convertido para la ciudad de Pereira en dos fenómenos de gran importancia para el desarrollo de diferentes áreas, por lo que se les ha estado prestando gran interés y atención desde distintas entidades con el fin de brindar un mejor servicio en ambas ramas, estos dos concepto están ampliamente ligados y se pueden observar como un indicador económico, además de factor político- social de desarrollo humano tanto para Pereira como para otros países y ciudades del mundo. El Turismo de Salud es definido como una acción el la que una persona de un país viaja a otro con el fin de buscar realizarse un tratamiento de tipo quirúrgico y a la vez disfrutar de los atractivos turísticos de la ciudad. Tourism and health have become for the city of Pereira in two events of great importance for the development of different areas, so that they have been aying great interest and attention from different entities in order to provide better service two arms, these two concepts are linked and can be widely seen as an economic indicator, as well as political and social factor of human development for both Pereira and for other countries and cities worldwide. Health Tourism is defined as the action which a person travels from one country to another in order to seek treatment performed surgically at the same time enjoy the attractions of the city.Universidad Católica de Pereira.
