description through the years, speed skating has undergone several transformations, one of them has been the change in the size of the wheels and the variation of the technique used in competition, these changes aff ect the performance of athletes and it has generated changes in the forces applied to the frame skate. This has led to a lifetime reduction of the product, for this reason a study was done with a high performance athlete, a static and a dynamic study was performed about the loads over the skate frame. While the double-push technique is being executed by a professional skater roller, computational models were done for six types of current commercial frames, stress and fatigue safety factors were calculated, these values were used as a starting point for a geometric redesign which optimizes the stress distribution and increases the safety factor. It was possible to obtain a fi nal version of a light frame and an increase of 230 % on the fatigue safety factor.

It was possible to obtain a fi nal version of a light frame and an increase of 230 % on the fatigue safety factor.A través del tiempo, el patinaje de velocidad ha sufrido diversas transformaciones, una de ellas ha sido el cambio en el tamaño de las ruedas y la variación de la técnica empleada en la competencia, estas transformaciones influyen en el desempeño de los deportistas y han generado modificaciones en las fuerzas aplicadas al chasis del patín, lo que ha provocado una disminución la vida útil del mismo; por tal razón se hizo un estudio con un deportista de alto rendimiento, se realizó un cálculo estático y uno dinámico, de las cargas que soporta el patín durante el movimiento de la técnica de doble empuje, se elaboraron modelos computacionales para seis tipos de chasises diferentes empleados actualmente, se obtuvieron los factores de seguridad para los esfuerzos y la fatiga, estos valores sirvieron como punto de partida para hacer un rediseño geométrico que optimizara la distribución de esfuerzos y aumentara los factores de seguridad. Se logró obtener una versión final del chasis liviana y con un incremento del 230% del factor de seguridad a la fatiga.Através do tempo, a patinação de velocidade tem tido diversas transformações, uma delas é a mudança no tamanho das rodas e a variação da técnica utilizada nas competições, estas transformações infl uenciam no desempenho dos esportistas e tem gerado modifi cações nas forças aplicadas aos chassis do patim, provocando uma diminuição de sua vida útil. Por essa razão foi feito um estudo com um esportista de alto rendimento onde se realizou um cálculo estático e um dinâmico das cargas que o patim suporta durante o movimento da técnica de duplo impulso, foram elaborados modelos computacionais para seis tipos de chassis diferentes utilizados atualmente, e se obtiveram os fatores de segurança para os esforços e a fadiga, estes valores serviram como ponto de partida para fazer uma remodelação geométrica, que melhorasse a distribuição de esforços e aumentasse os fatores de segurança.
